For a teen drama, it is not one of the bests. There are so many important issues and movements being tackled it in, that they all seem to get lost on one another. I feel as if I would of enjoyed and gotten more out of the show if this whole season was spread out around 3 or 4 seasons. Really being able to focus and give adequate time and energy to each cause. Tackling racism, xenophobia, homophobia, feminism, terror threats, drug addiction, sexual assault, women empowerment, identity crisis, cultural norms, and more.. all within 9 episodes.. it was a mess, with no real solution. The acting on behalf of the BIPOC characters was phenomenal. Wish we would stop giving so much screen time to white boys, would of enjoyed seeing more of
Owen rather than George. The writers had great opportunity for character growth and completely dropped the ball. Wouldn’t recommend watching. Seems like a Netflix wanna be Euphoria mixed with 13.
