This is one of the best TV series I have ever watched in my life. This is probably one of the best spy or should I say political thriller of all time. As the Guardian rightly mentioned it has everything - Islamist attacks on European capitals, fake news, troll farms, Russian electoral interference and a US president-elect at war with the intelligence services. I must also include American hegemony on middle east and Afganistan – all are covered Yes there are some flaws in some stories but that doesn't matter. I lived through all the characters, they were real to me in flesh and blood. The characters are unique but at the same time universal, they are there in every society, in each nation. Every man or woman would look for a superior like Saul, every superior a prodigy like Cathy, every Homeland for patriots like - Saul , Nazeer, Haqqani, Cathy, Brody and the hundreds of nameless others who have given their today so that we are able to live a better tomorrow. I will wait for the 9th season of Homeland whether it is actually released or not.
