I am fascinated by WWII and everything to do with it. This drama shows only some of what life must have been like in Europe during the dark days during the '30s and early '40s. My in-laws escaped their beloved Germany the day before Crystal Night in 1938, so a lot of this show reflects the stories they told. The acting, the story line, the scenery, the filming..... all superior, in my opinion.

In the dark pandemic and nasty politically-charged world of today, this is a very refreshing bit of daylight! Great casting, costumes, scenery, dialogue and story lines; just lighthearted enough to completely conquer your attention for the duration of the episode. Can't wait for Season 2 !!
