Loved it. This biopic about Mr. Rudy Ray Moore better known as leading man Dolomite is a funny, touching, vulgar come from behind back before behind existed story. It is no small coincidence that Mr. Murphy, like Mr. Moore before him uplifts friends against all odds & takes them for a life-changing ride. While Mr. Moore & Dolomite achieve re-inventive comeback after comeback Mr. Murphy achieves his own and others' (Wesley Snipes is back!) simultaneously! Ms. Da Vine Joy Randolph as Lady Reed is a joy to watch as an evolving female role model for black (and all) women. Bravo Ms. Randolph! Visually, as Dolomite & company clears each hurdle & comes ever closer to their goal, the film follows suit and slowly blossoms from a drab color palette to its triumphant and beautiful rich colors. Mr. Murphy also dedicates this comeback within a comeback to his incredibly talented brother Charlie Murphy; a third comeback if you will. Look for surprise appearances by Bob Odenkirk & others. All said the viewer will come away feeling inspired & happy. So go out & eff up some mothereffers! What else have we got to do, aside from seeing Mr. Murphy's film of course. And that's the whole point isn't it?
