I love Lake. I know it’s glitchy and loads slow. And the same music plays (now when I hear it, I feel nostalgic). And the screen goes black every time Meredith leaves the truck and enters it again. But I find it really comforting and relaxing. After a long day, it’s the best way to unwind. It just feels so cozy and quaint. I enjoy the dialogue and you can play it multiple times, choosing different responses to change the outcome at the end. This is the perfect game for busy people. Even if you take it really slow, the game doesn’t take much time to get through. I work 40+ hours a week and have a family of 5 and it only took me about two weeks to complete the game. As someone who loves familiarity, repetition, and nostalgia, I highly recommend this game to anyone else who feels the same. I hope they add DLCs to it at some stage. It would be cool to have more tasks to do or people to converse with.
