This movie is epic! The cast The storyline and the length of the movie is all big! Without getting into the storyline I can say it's awesome to see the characters change viewpoints as the movie progresses. Great acting & directing. Given the vintage of this movie, I was Not surprised with how clean everything was. In 1958 our world was so sterile. So were movies. Clean shaven cowboys and spotless ball gowns in the "farmhouse ballroom"? There was never an outhouse or manure on the ground. In front of the buildings were smooth level weed free ground at the hitching Post. Good gardeners. Everything seem to have a fresh coat of paint, except the shacks that were aesthetically rustic. What movies have changed since then. I still enjoy every bit of this film!
