Cassie Morr

This book was one of my favorite books read to me when I was in school. Now that I'm a mom, I'm reading it to our daughter and out of several chapter books, this is the only one she's asked me to continue reading. Yesterday I asked her which book we've read together has been her favorite and she said "The Secret Garden" as well. It's difficult to pronounce and to read aloud in a pretend Yorkshire accent, but she's read quite a bit of it to me as well. I love how you can see without pictures this beautiful garden. The mysteriousness of the buried key and crying boy. There's so much to discover and it's just a wonderful book.
