Cats is a cinematic approach to the well known and hugely successful theatrical stage production Cats the musical. With a list of cinema stars and well known performers maybe your expectations are starting high; be fair to the movie and yourself and lower them. Next ignore the drivel in the reviews suggesting this is an awful production; simply not true. Think of Cats as a new experience weaving the fantasy of theatre with the magic of cinema and allow yourself to become lost amongst the characters and immersed in the music. Suspend disbelief and enjoy. As a family experience on Christmas Eve it was lovely and entirely harmless. For me this is one of those movies the so called professional critics hate but will grow and be loved by many in the future.
