I don't know if there is a god but if such an entity exists then they must be very proud to have created Robert Smith. This is one of the truly great albums of the last fourty years and a stunning contemplation on loss and mortality. If it does prove to be The Cures final studio album, then what a magnificent way to bookend their stellar legacy. I didn't think that music could still move my weary soul to the extent that this masterpiece did. An incredible and important work of art.

Not sure what I was expecting but this definitely surpassed it. Sarcastic, vitriolic, touching, whimsical, fierce and beautiful. Its almost bi-polar in its 'all over the place' tone but who wants homogenization in their music? Not me that for sure. A lot more killer than filler. More like this please.

Well acted in the main but I found it, enjoyable and exasperating in equal measure. Too many implausible and naive decisions by the main character but it resolves itself well and doesn't overstay its welcome. Worth a watch.

There's a very strong Punisher vibe running through this and I personally can't think of much higher praise than that. A first class revenge fantasy that's very well acted throughout, especially by the lead Jennifer Garner.

A wonderful read. It's amazing that this confidently written novel is Webbs first foray proper into the genre. I don't won't to give away any spoilers so I'll just say that I wholly recommend this as it is beautifully written, superbly plotted, touching and genuinely hilarious. I would also strongly suggest picking up his autobiography 'How not to be a boy' which is by turns heartfelt, poignant and of course very, very funny.
