If one has read a lot, or nothing of the WWII, this book is a lesson from a young man’s capture and incarceration all during the war. It is very easy reading… had the opportunity to be with him several years ago when he was retiring from Arizona State University. His book inspired me to read many other publications about that time period as I only knew of the years immediately following the war to present. His book inspired me to become far more knowledgeable than the many people with which I am involved.
