Too much DEI in their casting and their divergence from source material. The writers took too much into their own hands. To drastically change one of the three most important characters with Perin's background and his subsequent actions in season 1 was egregious. To give a character a wife that he didn't exist at all in the books and have him accidentally kill her with his own hands was absurd. The writers continue to make changes to other important characters by changing their sexualality and/or race. The show isn't bad when they go by the source material, but they have taken an absolutely wonderful fantasy saga and turned it into a 21st century woke nightmare. If it was possible to give a rating of 0 stars, I would've.
