Beau and Arrow Films (Hayley Greer)

Jamie Dornan cannot put a foot wrong. He is an exceptional actor - we kept watching this terrible season only because of him. The lead actress however (and it sucks to say this; I don’t like putting people down esp their creative work) is terrible. Her acting skills were simply not up to the task, which made it distracting, and increasingly irritating. It got to the point where we ***SPOILER*** cheered when she was shot! This feels like a gross oversight on behalf of the production, and just doesn’t make any sense. The other actors in the series are fantastic. And the cinematography beautiful. But, as other reviewers have commented - the writing is rubbish. Slow, random, and with so many awkward & unnecessary scenes. There’s confusion as to whether we’re watching a black comedy or a drama. It wasn’t funny enough to be the former, or good enough to be the latter. Just odd! Misses the mark. But, did I mention Jamie Dornan is in it?
