The first game in decades to perfectly capture that Spencer mansion feeling. I guess og survival horror is a niche now but if your one of those people who misses the format of the original 3 Resident Evils then this is for you. Its not big on cut scenes & the voice acting very much feels like its not the first language of the team. Graphics are great and it has some very nice lighting effects. The control method is very much of the tank variety (though you can use the stick) and you have no control of the camera. Could be frustrating for modern gamers but again no one has made a game like this for a very long time. Puzzles are Silent Hill like & a little obscure but as these days you're only a few seconds away from looking up a solution if needed, its hardly an issue. The soundtrack is another great selling point again hitting that early Resi vibe. Deciding when to save is an important part of the game as its quite tight with the save tapes. Push to far & a cheap kill will put you back a long way. Finaly if you find the going a little tough you can get a powerful triple nail gun early on. Its worth looking up as you're unlikely to find it naturally.
