Loved the animation and art direction but it's deviation from the original took away my nostalgia from love of the movie and it's series as a whole, the movie relied on pulling on heart strings to captive the audience. And painted several characters in a different light some good and some not so good changing the message of the movie and while I loved seeing a different perspective it's like either Disney didn't have the budget, had to many limitations, or just tried to hard to make sense of the original story and while I appreciate the diversity shown for Hawaiian people I don't like jumba being the main villian that took away from his arch I don't like they left out the main protagonist that tried capturing stitch after jumba and pleckly were fired. Or that lilo was still taken from her family happy for Nani change in event were she has a goal and dream to follow but it undermines the hard hard told it the original story and makes it feel like the director wasn't a true fan of the original story line of events I understand Disney wants to protect children from dangerous stunts but the audience for a remake like this shouldn't only be for children but also the movie and series original fans as well. Which live us in the dust without a way to anticipate wanting to watch another remake if they did bring other characters back into this loved franchise you've left no way for that to be done with the idea of 627 on the way I could see how Disney wants to make a part 2 bit it wouldn't be a good idea sense part 1 remake wasn't what the main audience was expecting. Changing the storyline for the convenience of it wasn't the best choice for this film or it's franchise.
