70% is more realistic imo
The original Beetlejuice was a cult classic along with all of Burton's films, however Beetlejuice Beetlejuice failed to impress me. The storyline feels boring at times with a very anti relationship vibe going. It played out how weird and unrelatable the characters actually are. Felt cartoonish and meant for kids. No real purpose in the story, just a reimagining of the Lydia, Beetlejuice marriage accompanied by a bunch of demonic foolery with an all too simple ending and no climax. All returning cast, Defoe and Ortega acted thier roles superb, but the writing overall lacked and killed these characters more than brought them to life. No originality in this sequel, just rehatches of old characters. Copy and paste shrunken head gang. Cheap CGI effects. And wtf was with the soul train scene. Terrible writing. I wish I could get hired to write on these films, i know could have done better than this.
