After reading so many critics reviews all i can feel is they will let any uncultured swine voice their narrow minded opinions these days!
Following the crumbling sanity of Jim (chris pratt) as he tries desperately to regain control of his life after being prematurely woken 90 years too soon, we cant help but feel empathy for him.
I understand the dilemma that alot of people cant seem to grasp and that's the entirety of the over all picture. Yes prematurely waking up Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) seems so selfish, so drastic and irreversible.
But the irony behind his actions become so apparent as the ship starts its path of self destruction! The fact that if Jim did not awake Aurora the entire ship and all of its crew would have died as it took the both of them working together to get the ship back online and avoid complete destruction.
The bond between Jim and Aurora while most feel was only due to their isolation, I feel that only through complete isolation was it possible for Aurora to finally allow someone in as expressed through the short videos sent to her by her friends.
In conclusion I feel that this movie really hits home, it has chemistry, romance, fear, love, loss, action, and an undeniable way of reaching out to an audience that can read between the lines of a movie for what it truly is, it's about the sacrifice we make for love no matter what the cost, anyone that disagrees should go back to watching movies a little easier to understand, like the Simpsons or blues clues.
