This is a fun, suspenseful, paranormal ensemble show set in Victorian London. What more can you ask? With loose ties to the Sherlock Holmes canon, the irregulars has some crazy “did I just see that?” moments like the tooth fairy and face-off stories. Great entertainment. What is most magnetic about the show is it’s anchor in grief, and what grief will drive people to do. Through the paranormal and crazy stories, the grief is relatable and poignant. You find yourself rooting for the characters, both bad and good, to find peace or at least a resolution. While this heart line is consistent, the show doesn’t take itself too seriously. Best to enjoy the ride. Hope Netflix renews for additional seasons.
