Atomic heart is one of if not the most interesting, confusing but amazing game all in one. This game is phenomenal as the beginning allows you to prepare yourself for a wild ride with you being allowed to walk around freely and enjoy the beautiful graphics of this Soviet Union world. The dialogue in the beginning wasn’t the best but towards the middle and end of the game it fixed itself and was ultimately solid. I loved the concept of Char-les or the glove that allows you to collect materials and ammo with just holding one button and looking around, this is one of the coolest features I’ve ever seen in a game before. Adding to this the different types of moves you can add to char-les is fun as I mainly used shock , freeze and the polymer shield but had also tried the polymer jet and telekinesis. Upgrading these moves has made them very reliable when fighting bosses as you knew you could could pop the shock or use the shield and get some hits in. The game provides you with a lot of rooms that allows you to save the game or use the Nora machine which is where you can get weapons and other items like health chambers. The Nora machine is simple and not very confusing and once you get the hang of it then you will move fluidly throughout the game. The story at times can be confusing or drag just a little but the killing of the robots and solving different puzzles make the story worth it because once you get into a motion there is no stopping you and won’t want to stop.
Outside of facility 3826 provides a gorgeous scenery and plenty to look that you can admire with driving around or simply walking around. I like the fact that also there are underground labs that gives players more rewards and blueprints but also gives them more areas and puzzles to look at and do. With there even being more bosses to fight within these labs. The bosses are very fun to fight expect for one (the plyusch) which is still fun to fight but difficult as you have to use melee and may take time before you can beat it. The gameplay runs smooth and not very clunky at least in my play through and it was satisfying to destroy and get rid of the robots in different ways. The music is top notch as you may catch yourself bobbing your head or getting into the music while fighting. The ending of atomic heart is truly one of the most shocking and exciting endings in a game as this will hopefully set up different events in the future dlcs. I absolutely recommend this game and make sure to play it at your pace and not worrying about this or that. It’s sad to see people hating on this game or mundfish themselves simply because of politics and not giving them a chance. I cannot wait to see the future dlcs and projects from mundfish as the future is bright for them and I can tell you all now there next game will be a masterpiece.
