Keeping aside all the hype, I watched this show from the perspective of a critique so I'd like to share my thoughts here !! :3
Overall Rating : 7.8/10
Direction : 6/10 [I felt that most parts were too rushed and some things weren't focused enough as a result to which those things didn't make any sense. For example, Alexander. When I first watched the series I didn't even realise there was a character like that so I wish they would've focused on him a bit more, which I'm hoping we would get on S2. I loved how the characters were portrayed along with small details but I felt they could've constructed the episodes a bit more better]
Acting: 9/10 [Absolutely LOVED the acting, the actors' expressions gave more depth to the scenes but, there were a few areas where I found some flaws]
Cinematography: 10/10 [I think there is no explanation needed because almost all western series have great cinematography]
Plot : 7/10 [I felt that there was no proper structure to the plot? I absolutely love how they mainstreamed a lot of important topics to this series (monarchy, classes, Igbt, mental health, etc.) but I wish they would've focused a bit more on the characters rather than the drama (which btw was entertaining ngl)]
Impact: 7/10 [My favourite part of this show was how they normalised the "flaws" like different body types, skin problems, etc.]
Conclusion: This show was nice to watch ofc but I really really hope S2 is gonna be better to make upto S1.
