I am just wondering if the show was reversed and the girl was Jewish who fell in love with a Pastor, would all the Christian women in the Pastor’s family be portrayed as shrewish and manipulative? I love the actors in the show and enjoyed watching them perform but the undercurrent of the show came off anti-Semetic - whether this was intentional or not, I do not know.
