Ildris Elba and the rest of the cast deliver good performances. Sylvester Stallone also does a good job, but his character feels like a missed opportunity. Instead of his character King Shark acting like the shark demi-god he is, he is used for comic relief. The movie feels too humorous at times, which ultimately ruins the drama and serious parts of the movie, as such with the Polka Dot Man's backstory being demolished by his "funny" death scene and him envisioning people as his mother (quite frankly one of the worst "jokes" I have seen). Overall, they could've done a better job with this movie, it feels too much like it's trying to mimic Marvel. 2/5
