I enjoyed the 1st and 2nd seasons,and am watching the 3rd.Enough has been said about the plus points ,so i will mention a few negative points. •The entire village is perfectly clean and all its buildings perfectly whitewashed..not a spec of dirt or sign of wear and tear. •All the characters have an endless supply of clothes never repeating any item of clothing. •And finally I will risk the ire of most viewers when I say that Sachivji has only one facial expression..a wide eyed stare.

What lovely acting by all especially Balraj Sahni .even silent in the courtroom,the way he looks at Sunil questioning Shashi!! But Sharmila is somewhat irritating

I watched this decades ago,but still.remember it well,and recommend it

I have not seen it but the story seems to take thr oldold idea if a dying person going awayinn

Really good movie.excellent attention to details .the way she prays to God before striking her last match,her kindness yo the dog.

Sunitha karthik said almost everything I wanted to say,I will add that,among other words, the pronunciation of Anna and Anni..brother and sister in law, ..were wrong. and the Aunt is called Athai,which is Bua..father's sister..but Sundar's father calls her anni which is brothers wife

As a senior citizen i found the sex scenes unnecessary. Otherwise,i liked the film. However i am a bit confused about one aspect..Manu says he was 13 when his mother died( 17 years ago,according to the father),,so he is 30.but later he says he is 32. And his father is 55...about 23 years older.so the father had his first child (the older sister of Manu,)even before that age!!

Touching in many places ,but found the hairstyles of the headmistress and shakuntala herself,anachronistic. "Back combing " started only around 1970.

I think most people have given good review,because they are,(or want to be seen as being,)..'modern ' . Personally, I think it is a silly solution to the woman's problem .how many men will she approach? She will end up a mental wreck.
