Utter nonsense. I nearly walked out.
"Monsters" it ain't. It's mostly dreary, formulaic Sci-Fi pushing simplistic anti-Western messages mostly through Vietnam era and Star Wars imagery. This movie could've been financed by any totalitarian propaganda department on the globe.
Even sci-fi needs some believability. E.g would the mighty US invade ASIA(!) with about 6 soldiers, at night, with bright lights strapped to the centre of their chests as targets? So, no night vision technology in 2065? AND equip them with unstable exploding backpacks that seem to blow only at moments convenient to the ludicrous plot.
Also the mighty New Asia (Xi's fantasy) seems incapable of shooting down the US Death Star thing that inexplicably hovers at about ten thousand feet over their territory?
I could go on and on and on, but suffice it is to say well done to the Paw Patrol movie for whipping this pompous drivel at the box office.
