As a former reporter and editor I couldn't figure out who was who in this movie and I've spent decades in newsrooms. I wasn't bored but there wasn't much suspense, except for the cheap trick of having a dark car follow one of the reporters down a dark street. No explanation of what she was doing there and the whole thing was a nothingburger anyway. It was such a dramatic sea change in the life of Hollywood when Weinstein got what was coming to him and the movie didn't capture it.

I don't understand why people who liked this movie are so dismissive of, and insulting towards, those who didn't. There are plenty of reasons to react negatively to this movie and they don't have to do with low IQ or short attention spans or addiction to action sequences. If you liked this film, fine, but no need to pat yourself on the back over it.
