Carol Silverman

This is a disjointed movie about a selfish woman, unable to love or even have a relaxed, cordial relationship with anyone. Why is she like this? We never find out. There are some weird details that almost make me think she has died...that maybe she is living in hell...but I guess no since those details are never explained or developed. Incredibly strange movie. I did not like it. And why does everyone say Olivia Colemsn is so great in this role? She is poler-faced in most all scenes.

I thought this movie was interesting and informative. Couldn't decide until the end what I really thought about Norman. Was he up to no good, just out for himself? That's what kept me guessing. Richard Gere has sure come a long ways as an actor over the years. This is not an action movie, though!

Difficult to follow this movie or get the main point. After I read some professional reviews, I understood better what the story was about. Even professional reviewers said the had to see the movie two or three times to understand it. To my mind, that is NOT well constructed film!! (I didn't even realize that a murder had been committed in the climactic scene.) Cumberbatch does a wonderful acting job with his role, though..Still, don't waste your time with this film.
