I'm not really a boxing fan, this movie was well worth the time. The way the storyline was presented made me think of the Rocky series. It was during the great depression so it made the circumstances much more interesting because it wasn't just the boxing story but how difficult and challenging life was. It also showed how different the family and society were compared to today. It's now in my favorites so I'll watch it again.
