I have been awaiting the release of "The Wild Robot" since I first heard about it. As a fan of the book, I was thrilled to discover that the film was being produced by the same team behind "How to Train Your Dragon." (One of my personal all time favourites) And the movie certainly lived up to my expectations. This movies impact is profound, with a stunning art animation style, impressive, engaging music and sounds, alongside a compelling narrative that conveys a strong message for those who pay close attention. Some examples are, community, resilience, understanding, responsibility, confidence, selflessness, and the biggest one, perseverance.
I often find filler dialogue frustrating—lines that serve merely to extend conversation without contributing meaningfully to the story. However, in this film, every line is delivered with intention, whether it’s a poignant quote or a humorous remark. The film effectively illustrates the duality of nature: its harshness alongside its inherent beauty. It conveys the vital life lesson of perseverance: you try, you fail, you learn, and then you try again.
I highly recommend this movie to ALL ages and families seeking both humour and emotional depth, particularly those interested in films that explore relationships, especially the profound impact of parenthood/motherhood as children grow up.
