I had high hopes for 28 Years Later, but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most underwhelming movie experiences I've had in a while. For a film thatโs supposed to continue the legacy of the intense and gripping 28 Days Later series, this one felt painfully slow, hollow, and, frankly, pointless.
The pacing was a major letdown โ scenes dragged on without any real tension or payoff. It was hard to stay invested when nothing significant seemed to happen for large stretches of the film. Instead of building suspense, it just tested my patience.
The story lacked direction, the characters were forgettable, and it felt like the movie was just coasting on the name of the franchise rather than trying to bring anything fresh or exciting. There was no emotional pull, no real stakes, and certainly none of the raw energy that made the original films so iconic.
In short, 28 Years Later felt like a lifeless sequel that shouldโve stayed in development limbo. If youโre a fan of the series, brace yourself for disappointment.
