For many years I have had a lot of respect for Dr. Phil and his views on helping people. Today I lost most of that respect when he made comments on the Laura Ingraham show on Fox news comparing the COVID-19 pandemic to 45,000 deaths due to accidents; 480,000 deaths due to smoking and 360,000 deaths in swimming pools. And than making the statement we didn't close down the economy for those deaths. It is a ridiculous statement comparing a deadly highly contagious disease to deaths caused by accidental and life choice diseases. If this causes people to ignore mitigation efforts resulting in additional deaths, those deaths are on Dr. Phil's head. Shame on you Doctor Phil.
