The film was thoroughly engaging. Oftentimes funny and ultimately bittersweet. Leading actress gives Oscar worthy performance and entire cast is perfect in every supporting role. I’m not surprised that it was awarded best film at Cannes this year. Writer-Director Sean Baker is one of the best talents working today. Don’t pass this up.

Beautiful, inspiring story. As a father of a special needs adoptive son this movie had me tearing up because I resonated with the way it truthfully depicted all the things that many adoptive families face. Strongly recommend viewing!

I had always wanted to watch it but never had a chance until now. I was disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high. I loved Chief Dan George and generally did not mine the other performances but wasn’t convinced that all the scenes involving the native Americans speaking English was authentic. It was tough sitting through even though you know that the movie was building up to the little big horn finale. I always admired Dustin Hoffman’s acting but this is not one of his memorable roles.

Loved loved loved this movie. Superb cast displaying vibrant dancing and singing that left me uplifted and inspired. Don’t miss watching this in the theater with a great sound system and big screen in order to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Enjoy it on the big theater screen if you can. Fun special effects for all.
