As a true fan of the first in the series, I implore you to save your time and money. When 28 Days Later came out in 2003, I very much enjoyed that film. Thought it was well done on many levels and would have given it a solid 4/5 stars. 28 Weeks later was a bit convoluted and predictable, but a decent film. When it comes to 28 Years Later however, I can honestly tell you that this was one of the worst films that I have seen in a long time. I truly wanted to like it. I also never leave reviews. In this case however, I want to save any who may interested in seeing it the time and money. Far too many strange and quite frankly ridiculous plot lines to follow. We found ourselves confused multiple times. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but when we left, we both looked at each other and asked “what the hell did we just watch?!” The camera angels are strange and far too jumpy. That makes the already poorly written film even more difficult to watch. The one and only thing positive that I could say is that the acting is pretty good. The actors clearly committed to the underdeveloped roles they were given. Just a really bad film altogether. Would give this a half star if it were possible.
