Personally loved this film. Reveals the horrors of false piousness and touches on important themes. It is not meant to have traditional jumpscares, but rather be unsettling. The demons and humans coexist on screen not to scare you, but to represent a possible normalcy that exists when one strays from faith and to represent the evils some humans are capable of. That in and of itself is frightening.

You're telling me a mom left her kid alone after inviting a stranger into her house and then subsequently going on a date with him after????? TF. The direction was okay. Had potential at the start before becoming insanely unrealistic.....

By messing with the lore of the animation in ways that do not translate into a realistic medium, the show became devoid of both meaning and originality. It is cosplay and does not get the essence of the characters correctly at all. The creative decisions do not make sense. They chopped up episodes and put them into a blender to spew a non-linear, and hastened plot though the episodes were hours long. The costumes and hair....are quite peculiar. I can see why the original creators left --- this isn't "Avatar" at all. There is no development, and most of all, no real humor. Humor and levity were the heart of the show. Very disappointed. When will people realize that animations, limitless in their imaginations, are not meant to be forced into live-actions....?
