Just finished season 5. I absolutely loved The Good Wife. The Good Fight started off decent. Somewhere along the road it turned into one of the worst shows ever, in my opinion. It seems as though the show had good funding. it was put together well. Pretty good cast. Talent was there. Most of the characters seemed likeable. it was nice seeing familiar characters. I guess in the beginning they tried to keep it as close to The Good Wife as possible. But as it started to find it's own identity, it had no focus. No storyline. it initially started with the scandal case. Almost mimicking good wife. After season one, there was no heart to the show. No one to really focus on. Throughout the seasons it was as if they were randomly throwing out storylines to see what worked. Some stories would last 2 or 3 eos and then just disappear with no resolution. Random characters coming and going. Season 5 was by far the worst. I get it's a made up drama but I enjoy some realism to shows like this. There was none. I think this show had so much potential. it just felt like an afterthought for the production company.

I didn't care for the movie. I feel as though Jennifer was trying to do an imitation of someone, not sure who. But it just didn't work. The accent was strong in some parts and kid of fades away. The storyline kinda jumps over critical moments and provides no explanation of things. While I know Aretha lived a full life, this movie does do her justice. It just didn't paint a full picture of who she was and her impact on the world and music industry. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer's acting. Overall, she was not awful but she just didn't embody the essence of The Queen. When she sung, all I heard was Jennifer and was not moved the way I feel when I hear Aretha.
