In my native town, He is called Nellai Appan. I grew with the faith that He is The Father. Never felt He is outside our family. Amish captures that feel, that spirit. I am able to relate to Neelkant seamlessly.

What begins as a rather powerful narrative on the social ills afflicting us, the movie falls flat on its nose when the protoganist decides to kill his lovable master. Absolutely unjustifiable and unbecoming of the character. How Priyanka chose to produce the movie and how it topped the chart on Netflix defy logic.

Like all performing arts, Carnatic music has its dark side, too. This movie attempts to throw light on that without comsciously ruffling many feathers.Music lifts the movie over some shortcomings. All the characters have given their best. Rajiv Menon made it look as natural as he could. Cibematographer obviously enjoyed his tour. Feast for the eyes.
