I wish they could have showed more when they first got to the front. Right after that barrage where Paul is buried and Ludwig is killed, the screen goes dark and says “18 months later”. It would have been cool to see how Paul and his friends were as they turned into ruthless soldiers through combat. But I still loved the movie. I’d give it 5 stars maybe 4.5 stars
