I enjoyed this book. It felt real and authentic. It wasn't what I was expecting, in that I expected to read more about her journey with wellness, her research and struggles with her health and the MTHFR gene and enriched foods etc. I think some of the messages were good, in treating yourself well, like you're worthy, and being kind and gracious to yourself. Having read her cookbooks and a few of her posts I envisioned more about a food wellness journey and information about different medical conditions that can affect weight and also can be triggered by foods such as she and her children have experienced. To me the story was more a book about her childhood, her traumas, her faith, and her journey to loving and accepting herself (and her body). Not what I expected, but a good read. And if all you get out of it is to love and treat yourself and your body better, it will have served a purpose.
