This was a required reading for my class. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters simply because I couldn’t relate to them. The characters were poorly described, for they would only really describe hair, skin, and eye color. I also had a hard time understanding the plot due to there not even really being one. It was boring with no real cliffhangers or conflict. I only read ahead to get it over with faster. I have to do writing and projects on it now, and it sucks. I feel like if this book was rewritten to be longer (300-400 pages) instead of being as long as a 2nd-3rd grade level book (176 pages) it could have had more descriptive plot and characters, as well as a longer story because I could read this in 4 days or less if I wanted to. I found some hope in the beginning, but got worse and it got more rushed as it went on. I hope you found this helpful.
