Perfect. What more can I say? In a world full of terrible movies, one light stands- a beacon of hope in a world of darkness. Do you want to take your 9 year old to see this movie? Do it. Do you want to take a 35 year old man to this movie? Do it. A movie where you can appreciate a good romance, with a s tier B plot which will draw tears from your eyes reminding you of an innocent and blissful childhood is a must see for any adventure connoisseurs. The villains in this movie are a perfect mix of the three archetypes, one being relatable, one being pure evil, and one that teaches a good lesson to go home to. This shows that a once considered children's movie has evolved into something *spectacular*. Someone wise once said, "do not go gentle in that good night", and puss in boots from the universe of Shrek does not go gentle.
Lets talk about the visuals. Its clear that the dreamwork team spent 11 careful years making an animation that will be remembered for a lifetime. The character model for puss in Shrek looked something like a pervert from a Grimm fairy tale, but in this reimagined tale, Puss looks more like our dauntless hero ready to take on anything. Now, for the score, "Fearless hero"- must I say more? Take a listen so your ears can be serenaded with a sweet symphony. With that I tell you "Its never too late to be what you might've been" and by that I mean that its never too late to see this movie- and to simply "be better".
