I am an American fan who stumbled on the Repair Shop on YouTube. It was interesting and out of the ordinary for us here in the states. I have followed This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, Mike Holmes from Canada, The Wood Wright Shopโฆand others since I was a young man, now in my late 70โs. The Repair Shop had some of the same staged, orchestrated scenesโฆbut the people were the real draw. I am an amateur furniture builder, love every aspect of what Will does. In fact the entire cast have information that I use/try to use in much of my hobbies. All that to sayโฆthe people of that program are a rare gathering of very interesting, likable individuals who form a character that defines the show. It is sad to see Jay being saddled with that controversy. His private life should never have been aired and tried in public opinion not knowing the truth. Myself included in that opinion sorting. But Jay IS the heart of that program. I think something can be said for the support he received from at least one or two of his fellow cast members. Prayers go out that the truth will be revealed and the outcome will rest on that. From my family in the UK, it is questionable that Jay will be treated fairly. Cheers to all of that great show.
