Wow and wow. I obviously walked to the cinema and back. I read the book while in my teens. It inspired me to do a 24 hour walk a few years back. As I watched the miles add up on the movie screen I could feel the pain the walkers were going through. The looks on their faces, the way they talked, what they talked about all added up. Their steady letting go of reality came through beautifully. Stephen King is hard to adapt to the movie screen but this was spot on right through to the end where the world fell away and only the road remained. I am jealous to the core of anyone watching it for the first time. Watching this movie was an experience, a moment in time that I'll take with me to my grave, crematorium or wherever I end up. Wish I could give this 10 or more stars. Remember, you need only get through this moment.
