I got the plot, but it was very poorly executed. Great cinematography and beautiful period set-up, but it was slow moving and very superficial. They jumped back and forth without continuity. The scenes with the book shop and her later lover (looks to have been in the 40's maybe) seems like it was just thrown in. I don't recommend this film.
