There is a dialogue in the movie said by one of the English Officials,
"I liked the Indian common man...eager to please...."
It is this very eagerness to please that the Indian juries decided to snub the movie as India's official entry to the Oscars. The movie shows the evil of British Imperialism and when the Crown itself parades upon its Great History while conveniently pretending to forget about the trail of blood they left behind why this shame and fear by Indians to stand behind the truth of its history with Pride?
The movie is good and every movie buff should watch it, the length is a minor issue
