I'm surprised by all the good reviews, almost every 'big' scene has been changed from the book. It was a huge disappointment, and even if you were to watch it as separate from the book it was still pretty lackluster. Also the characters were a bit of a disappointment as well, racial agenda aside, they were lacking depth and didn't feel authentic to the characteristics of the book. I would definitely not recommend it if you love the books!
