I watched this movie because it has mostly bad reviews and I wanted to see what it was all about. So let me start by saying I am not a Sia fan nor a Maddie follower. On the contrary, I have heard some unpleasant stories regarding Sia, none of which I know as facts nor that I have experienced myself. I watched this because I was looking for concrete evidence or excuse to actually bad mouth and dislike Sia even more. I actually wanted to hate this film. Yet to my surprise, I really like this film! Two thumbs up as far as story and the message. I completely understand Autism Advocates are insulted to say the least but I honestly don’t think anyone involved in this film had any bad intentions whatsoever. To Sia: my hat goes off to you for such an incredible message! I get it.
