Horrible film. I didn't watch too much after the opening scene when Mozart is 'taking requests' from the audience. Nonsensical. And then a scene with Minnie Driver, yes MINNIE DRIVER, made up, bewigged and dubbed, as an opera singer. A couple of scenes later and Samira Weaving is also dubbed singing. Why not just get proper singers? I did not recognise the actress who played Marie Antoinette but her wig, along with all the others was a lot taller than the actor playing Joseph Bologna. As far as his acting goes, it went, without a trace. He had one expression for as much of the film that I saw. I couldn't take it and left after about half an hour. I'm amazed that so many people have given this movie 5 stars. I mean I know that there are a lot of stupid people in the world but come on! Chevalier was a joke! (Not that it was funny. Not intentionally anyway.)
