This book would have 5 stars if it didn’t seem to be just like I Want my Hat Back by John Klassen, and the start of A Friend for Dragon by Dav Pilkey. Which is tough for me, cause I genuinely like this book more than those two books. But I also feel like it’s enough like them that it can’t possibly be unrelated. And they were made first. But I guess there are 82847 versions of There was an Old Lady, so maybe it’s not plagiarism if it’s not the exact same words? 🤷‍♀️ I love this book. Read it at the library and bought it for my kids. Recommend it. I’m just sad as I keep coming across earlier books that seem to be basically the same.
