I'm a K-drama enthusiast since I was like I think 11 years old back when Full House was popular. I'm 27 now but this is my first time writing a K-drama review. They already showed 8 episodes and 8 episodes more to go.
Plot: 10/10 - Plot was not unique nor cliche but definitely beautifully written. Wholesome, sweet, nostalgic, something that could feed our delusional minds. The pacing wasn't slow nor fast.
We get RomCom, a bit of a drama, mystery/thriller, school and adult romance. Love how the scenes were funny yet not overdone.
Cast: ∞/10 - I have liked Hye Yoon since Extraordinary You and I've been seeing Woo Seok everywhere wishing he'd get a male lead role. I like how the cast isn't Suzy/Lee Min Ho level popular but so dang talented. Their acting is chef's kiss.
The supporting cast are all great actors huhu. Love them sm.
Chemistry: ∞/10 - I have been waiting for this drama to air since the announcement of the release but I never really expected their chemistry to be that good on and off cam. They got my single self giggling in the middle of the night.
Characters: ∞/10 - I really love the main leads here, not just a green flag but a whole damn forest.
Cinematography - 100000/10 - I want to thank the director for such beautiful cinematography, it's sooo pretty like damn and all the subtle emotions were conveyed properly.
OST - ∞/10 - I've been streaming the OST from this series from the get go. I can't believe I'm fangirling over a fictional band. Eclipse's songs were really good and I can't get enough of 10 cm spring snow, like please release that masterpiece already!
I want to make a special mention for the kiss scene 10000000/10 hahaha you'll know when you see it.
I'm only worried about the future episodes cause girl we're still halfway done. BTW I rarely watch an ongoing series and maintain the hype but lovely runner really be testing the patience I didn't know I had, I even subscribed to Viu for this series.
I just really wish that Lovely Runner sustains this energy until ep 16. I'm kinda scared because we're just halfway huhu.
