The film was a striking portrayal of truth, albeit set in a futuristic world. To me, it felt like a symbolic representation of the oppressive imperialist West pitted against the collective resilience of the rest of humanity. A striking example is at the beginning, where a Western leader claims their war is against AI, not New Asia. Yet, their actions contradict their words as they indiscriminately bomb innocent civilians, including women and children. A movie about vulnerable human beings devoid of masks that ooze raw humanity. A movie that tears silently into a system that instead of delivering justice has reduced itself into a cold system that functions with the sole intention of sustaining itself.
