What a cinematic and thought-provoking documentary. It shed some light on a much needed topic that many of us overlook as it literally goes on in the waters beneath us. It is hard to believe that such barbaric treatment of human lives who are enslaved mainly by Chinese and Thai fisheries is permitted to continue with no consequences in today's modern society. This was shocking and blood boiling; and makes me want to boycott all forms of consumerism and even travel with these countries until the local authorities can get their heads checked or global bodies step in and provide some enforcement of basic human rights. The Grind was actually traumatic to watch and lingered with me long after the documentary finished. Unfortunately the whaler did have a point regarding one whale vs 2,000 chicken. But how about just no more animal lives?
