Trigger warning: this film discusses child sexual abuse. Being able to see how this innocent child changed over time through home movies and interviews with family members due to the abuse he was facing behind closed doors was both heartbreaking and informative. His testimony shows us signs that children may exhibit when they are being sexually abused. It also highlights the fact that men typically do not come forward when it comes to their sexual abuse, but they should. The ending has a very positive message that even if the court rulings didn’t go “perfectly”, he still triumphed over the abusers that he survived. May be hard to watch for some due to the discussions of sexual abuse, but there is nothing that is shown of the abuse itself. For those who can handle it, it is a must watch.

The plot twists are what make this movie interesting for me. You think the horror is the little girl’s parents abusing her but it is actually much worse. Great plot twist and good acting although some scenes seemed cheesy to me. The creature or demon thing in the car at the end had an almost cartoon feel that made it less intense for me. Overall a great movie that keeps you on edge!

Classic psychological thriller. Dated but has aged rather well. A movie that keeps you guessing and engaged.

With Morgan Freeman you will always have the element of good acting but the plot was less intense than I imagined. It didn’t meet my personal preferences but it was still done well. The plot and resolution were clear and easy to follow. A good movie that you desire to see come to a positive end.

This movie keeps you guessing but also delivers a satisfying ending. The audience begins to question reality along with the main character which makes for an adrenaline pumping thrill ride of a movie. Is she really crazy? Is it the drugs she’s being forced to take? Who is telling the truth? Good questions that lead to a great resolution. Would highly recommend.

Amazing depiction of the life of someone who cannot hear. She is strong and independent yet her life is obviously different in that she has one less sense than she should. This movie gives a great adrenaline rush along with a satisfying ending that makes you glad that you watched.

Even if some parts aren’t believable in As Above So Below, the theme of being trapped and confused deep within the catacombs is enough to get you scared and confused. Confused in a good way because it makes the movie unpredictable and more intense. One of my favorites for sure.

This movie was more disgusting than it was entertaining. It wasn’t even gore, it was just the simple fact that the babysitter truly wants to upset and disturb the children that she is watching as much as possible. For someone who loves kids or animals it is gross to watch. Two of the family pets get killed and the babysitter even forces the children to watch their parents’ sex tape together in the living room. This movie skips out on a good plot and replaces it with a lot of screwed up stuff just to call it ”horror”.

Great show that keeps you wondering what happens next. Although cliff hangers make it hard to stop watching. You really can’t watch just one episode at a time. Great acting and characters.
